New: Latter Dad Saint Blog

Howdy friends!

I’ve decided to shift focus with my blog to my faith as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day-Saints.

Don’t worry, I still plan to remain active on my Ag State of Mind blog discussing all things mental health in agriculture. However, I also wanted to create a place where I could share more spiritual messages as they apply to my daily life as a husband, father, son, brother, friend, and overall human being. My faith and my religion are of the utmost importance to me.

I also believe that God has blessed me with the gift and talent of expressing myself via the written word. This blog is my way of adhering to the Law of Consecration. The law of consecration is a principle the Lord gives to His covenant people. To live this principle, men and women dedicate themselves completely to building up God’s kingdom and ensuring that there are “no poor among them” (Moses 7:18). They give their time, talents, and material resources to serve the Lord, His Church, and His children.

My time, talents, and material resources… what does that mean. Well, to me that means that God has blessed me with the ability to communicate and express effectively. With that gift, I should do all I can to spread the message of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Like my friend Clay Conry said, God has entrusted and provided this platform to me. It is up to me to use it in a way which glorifies Him.

Clay has also told me that we need the voice of the common man.

That is me. I am the common man. I am living the day to day life of Middle America. So, at your discretion, follow along with this blog to hear the voice of the common Christian man in America. This is a story that desperately needs to be told.
