ASOM - Ep 140 - Camden Calloway - The Next Generation of Mental Health Advocacy - Ag State of Mind with Jason Medows

I've long said that the thing I'm most honored and humbled by as a podcast host is when someone reaches out to me to be on the podcast. This is yet another conversation that started out that way. Camden Calloway is a sophomore at Purdue who is majoring in Agronomy. We sat down today to chat about some of the work he has been doing to advocate for mental health for the next generation of ag professionals. To get in contact with Camden, go to CamdenCalloway460@gmail.com or call him at 765-432-5063

I've long said that the thing I'm most honored and humbled by as a podcast host is when someone reaches out to me to be on the podcast.
Father’s Day in the hayfield!!
“Father is the noblest title a man can be given. It is more than a biological role. It signifies a patriarch, a leader, an exemplar, a confidant, a teacher, a hero, a friend, and, ultimately, a perfect being. The Lord requires great things at the hand of fathers, but there are great rewards.”
We worked late into the night so I could wake up and see a field full of bales. I baled until the boys got home from church and then they took over to finish up. We finally finished up just before 10 pm.
It’s and said that depression lives in the past, anxiety lives in the future, and your best self lives in the present.
Growth through trials and tough seasons
Jake Renner and I have been connected for sometime now via social media and actually had the good fortune to meet in person at CattleCon in San Antonio 2020.
For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;
“The difference between shame and guilt is the difference between “I am bad” and “I did something bad”.” - @brenebrown
Confession time.
Hay season began this weekend
“Authenticity is critical to leadership. That means trying to be yourself - this involves some self-disclosure, admitting what you don't know and being willing to ask questions.”
